Our Story

Founded by Carey Faulkner and Melloney Gillham, B.O.B Salons was born from a shared vision and over 35 years of combined experience in the hair and beauty industry. Partners in business and in life, Carey and Melloney set out to create something truly unique — a salon where the guest experience comes first, blending exceptional service with beautiful hair and expert professional advice.

We genuinely love what we do and are deeply passionate about hairdressing and outstanding customer service. We believe a business is only as strong as its team, and we’re incredibly proud to work alongside a talented, dedicated group of stylists who live and breathe our philosophy: good people, achieving good things, in good ways.

2013

B.O.B Salons first opened its doors on 15th January 2013 with just three team members and a big dream.

Today

Today, we are proud to be one of the most sought-after hair salons in Bracknell and the surrounding areas, winning multiple awards along the way and fast becoming the go-to destination for exceptional hair.

Why B.O.B?

The name B.O.B holds deep meaning. It represents the classic and timeless haircut made famous by legendary hairstylist Vidal Sassoon, reflecting our desire to build a salon business that is equally enduring and iconic.

B.O.B is also an abbreviation for our Blow Out Bar membership, allowing guests to purchase bundles of blow-dries — and, most importantly, it was the affectionate name of Carey’s late father, Robert “BOB” Faulkner, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2007 and remains a constant source of inspiration behind the brand.

Adele Sylvester

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & EDUCATOR

Adele Sylvester artistry, expert skills and extensive experience make her a very sought after hairdressing artist with a large customer following and celebrity clientele. Adele is truly passionate about her craft and is an award winning stylist and has been Gold Winner for Stylist of the Year at the British Hair & Beauty Awards 2015, 2018 & 2022 She loves sharing her knowledge to others and for the last 10 years have been part of the very successful Paul Mitchell UK artistic & education team helping stylist from all over the UK learn new ideas and techniques. She is a curly hair specialist

Adele always wanted to be a hairdresser as long as she can remember and her works has been seen in magazines, fashion shoots and has worked on the sets of theatre and TV productions.

Jodie Blackman

ARTISTIC HAIR DESIGNER

With nearly five years as a key member of our salon team, she has become an integral part of who we are. Highly respected and genuinely liked by her peers, she brings creativity, consistency, and passion to everything she does.

A qualified assessor and in-salon educator, she plays a vital role in mentoring and developing our future professionals, helping shape the next generation of confident, skilled hairdressers. As a talented all-round stylist, her work is both technically strong and creatively thoughtful.

Her artistic ability was showcased in a photographic shoot created alongside colleague Adele for the HJ British Hairdressing Awards, highlighting her eye for detail and creative flair.

Callum Gough

PRINCIPLE HAIR DESIGNER & MASTER BARBER

Recently promoted to Principal Hair Designer, Callum has been wowing clients and colleagues alike since qualifying in 2018. A natural talent with an eye for detail, he’s quickly established himself as a versatile stylist – though his true passion lies in men’s grooming and precision short styles.

In 2022, Callum was awarded Gold Winner for Best Barber in the South East at the British Hair & Beauty Awards, a testament to his skill and dedication. He also successfully completed our in-salon ‘Inspire’ education program in 2020, graduating with flying colours and proving himself as both a sought-after hairstylist and a master barber.

When he’s not crafting sharp fades and stylish cuts, you’ll probably hear Callum before you see him – he’s a budding musician with a habit of whistling the latest beats around the salon, bringing an extra touch of energy to the BOB atmosphere.

Sarah Dawson

SENIOR HAIR DESIGNER

Sarah joined the BOB team in 2024, bringing her passion and flair as a talented colour technician. Since then, she’s successfully completed our in-salon cutting training – passing with flying colours – and now offers both expert cuts and beautiful colour services to her clients.

With a real appetite for learning, Sarah is always expanding her skill set and is currently developing her expertise in hair extensions. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to growth make her an exciting stylist to watch – and a joy to sit with in the chair.

Alicia Crosby

HAIR DESIGNER

Alicia began her journey with us as a Graduate Stylist and has since worked her way up through dedication, passion, and talent. After successfully completing her in-salon training, she’s now proudly part of our team as a Hair Designer.

With over four years of experience on the salon floor, Alicia has honed her skills across a wide variety of cutting, colouring, and styling techniques. She loves creating looks that make her clients feel confident and fabulous, whether it’s a subtle refresh or a bold transformation.

Her warm personality, creative flair, and commitment to ongoing learning make Alicia a much-loved member of the BOB team – and a stylist you can truly trust with your hair.

Jade Keegan

GRADUATE STYLIST

Jade has recently qualified from Future Professional to Graduate Stylist – achieving exceptional results in her training. Her creativity, dedication, and natural talent shine through in every style she creates, and it won’t be long before her column is fully booked.

Right now, Jade is focused on gaining as much experience as possible, and she’d love the chance to welcome you into her chair. By booking with Jade, you’ll not only leave with great hair, but you’ll also be part of her exciting journey as she builds her career.
